Purchase Orders

Who do you accept Purchase Orders from?

We accept purchase orders from both public organisations and private sector companies.

We will accept purchase orders from public organisations such as local authorities, schools and other educational establishments, National Health Service and Government Departments without prior approval so long as the purchase order meets the requirements set out below

It is our normal policy to require private companies to place a minmum of 2 orders paid for at the time of ordering, before we will arrange to provide credit facilities. (Payments made by credit/debit card or bank transfer).

We are a private company. How do we apply for a credit account?

We require an application to be made in writing. Application forms are available by contacting us on 0844 800 4086 or emailing accounts@foodsafetydirect.co.uk.

We reserve the right to grant or refuse the application at our absolute discretion.

What form do you need the purchase order in?

All purchase orders must be provided on letter-headed paper or be from an email address registered with the ordering organisation.

We require an official order number or reference on all purchase orders.

Can I order on-line using a purchase order number?

Once we have set up your organisation as an account customer, you will be able to place orders on-line. Only registered account customers will have a "Purchase Order" option available when they log in to their website account.

What are your credit terms?

Our standard credit terms are 30 days net.

Payment shall be made in full at the end of the month following the date of invoice. We may revoke credit if you fail to make payment when due. If payment is not made when due, interest is payable at the rate of 3% over HSBC's prevailing base rate on the amount outstanding from the due date of payment until receipt by us on the full amount (including any accrued interest), whether before or after judgement, together with any reasonable legal or other recovery costs.
