Coloured Polypropylene Packaging Tape is a versatile case and carton sealing tape designed for food processing, warehousing, distribution and general packaging applications.
Available in a wide choice of colours, this tape provides businesses with more than simply a method of sealing cartons. Different tape colours can be incorporated into workplace identification and colour-coding systems, providing a quick visual method of distinguishing between products, departments, production areas, batches or other operational categories.
This can be particularly useful in busy food manufacturing and packing environments. For example, businesses may choose to allocate different tape colours to specific product groups, production lines or destinations, making sealed cartons easier to recognise without having to rely solely on printed labels.
Manufactured using a 25-micron OPP polypropylene backing with an acrylic adhesive, the tape has a total thickness of 45 microns. The adhesive features a low-noise release, making it particularly convenient for packing areas where large quantities of tape are regularly applied.
Well suited to operations where packed cartons subsequently enter colder environments. Once correctly applied, sealed boxes can be stored at operating temperatures between -20°C and +40°C.
For optimum performance, the manufacturer recommends applying the tape in a dry environment at a minimum temperature of 12°C, although it has been tested to perform when applied at temperatures of 5°C and above.
The tape also contains a minimum of 30% recycled content and is supplied in a practical 48mm x 66m roll size.

Why Use Different Coloured Packaging Tapes?
Using different coloured tapes provides businesses with a simple visual identification system alongside conventional carton labels and markings.
Individual colours can be assigned according to a business's own procedures to distinguish between different products, departments, production lines, batches, destinations or other operational requirements. This can make cartons easier for employees to recognise quickly when packing, handling, storing or distributing goods.
Colour-coded tape can be particularly useful in food production and manufacturing environments where colour is already used to visually differentiate equipment, work areas or processes.
The specific meaning assigned to each colour is determined by the individual business rather than being prescribed by the tape manufacturer.
Available Colours
PM89 is available in yellow, green, red, blue, black, orange, pink and purple, providing plenty of choice for businesses creating their own colour-coded packaging system.
Ideal For
Ideal for food manufacturing and processing, packing departments, warehouses, distribution centres, chilled food operations, cold storage, fulfilment operations, production facilities and businesses using colour-coded identification or packaging systems.
