UV Hand Gel for Sanitiser Application Training
Couldn't load pickup availability
Correct hand sanitiser application relies on the product being thoroughly applied across the entire surface of the hands and wrists. However, it can be difficult to identify missed areas by sight alone.
UV GERM Hand Rub Training Gel provides a simple visual method of demonstrating hand-rub application technique. The gel contains an invisible UV ingredient which fluoresces bright blue when exposed to UV light, clearly highlighting where the training gel has been applied. Areas that do not fluoresce indicate potential gaps in coverage, helping trainers demonstrate how hand sanitiser should be distributed across the hands and wrists.
Unlike conventional UV hand-washing training lotion, which is normally applied before washing so that remaining fluorescent material can reveal areas that have not been cleaned effectively, this product is specifically designed to simulate the application of hand sanitiser or hand rub.
The gel itself does not sanitise or disinfect the hands. It is a training product intended to replicate the application of normal sanitising gel so that application technique and coverage can be assessed under UV light.
The British-made formulation is designed to be skin-friendly and hypoallergenic. It is alcohol-free, fragrance-free and gluten-free, and contains no parabens, PEGs, phthalates or sulfates.

Hand Sanitiser Application Training
Applying hand sanitiser effectively involves more than simply dispensing gel onto the palms and rubbing the hands together. The product needs to reach all relevant areas of the hands and wrists.
UV GERM Hand Rub Training Gel allows trainers and participants to visually assess this coverage.
After applying the training gel as they would a normal hand sanitiser, the hands can be inspected using a suitable UV light. Areas covered by the gel will fluoresce bright blue, while gaps in the fluorescence can reveal areas that may have been missed.
This makes the product particularly useful for demonstrating correct application technique and reinforcing good hand hygiene practices.
Ideal For
UV GERM Hand Rub Training Gel is ideal for hand hygiene training within hospitals, healthcare organisations, care homes, dental practices, schools, colleges, universities, training organisations, workplaces and other environments where effective hand sanitiser application needs to be demonstrated and assessed.
Important Safety Information
This is a training gel only and does not contain sanitising properties. It should not be used as a replacement for normal hand sanitiser or hand rub.
The manufacturer recommends testing for sensitivity before use. Avoid contact with the eyes, discontinue use if irritation occurs and do not apply to broken or irritated skin.
The product is considered safe and non-toxic for COSHH purposes; however, the manufacturer states that it is not classed as food safe and is unsuitable for use in areas designated for food production or food preparation.
