This thermometer can be used in a commercial dishwasher and has a thin tip for fast response (better than 6 seconds). It is switchable between °F and °C and has maximum temperature hold and auto power off features.
The thermometer can be calibrated at any time by the user following the procedure outlined at the bottom of this page.
The casing is made with BioCote® Antimicrobial Protection to provide an important extra level of defence against cross-contamination.
Measuring food temps is quick and easy with Comark DT400 Waterproof Pocket Digital Thermometer. Not only is this pocket unit highly accurate (to ±0.5°C/1°F) in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +200°C, it can also be field-calibrated as needed. When you use this unit through the dishwasher, it can record the maximum water temperature so you can check that dishes are being properly sanitised. The unit's thin tip displays readings within 6 secs. Other benefits include an automatic power-off function that saves batteries, and BioCote antimicrobial protection to help keep it clean.

How to Calibrate the Comark DT400
The DT400 can be calibrated at any time by the user. The procedure is quick and simple:
1. Put some water and crushed ice into a clean mug or water bath (approx 60% crushed ice to 40% water).
2. Insert the thermometer into the ice solution until the stem is covered to at least half way along its length.
3. Wait for the reading to settle.
4. Press and hold the D-H button for 8 seconds to begin calibration.
5. "CAL" will be displayed on the LCD screen and calibration at 0°C will be complete.

Does what is claimed; checked calibration on receipt - seems spot on. Very useful for general culinary purposes - I use it mostly for water temp. in bread-making. Compact, easily sterilised unit, that displays current value or maximum temperature reached via memory recall. Fully submersible design that responds to temperature changes quickly. For my intended use, it would have been helpful if minimum temperature reached was also able to be recalled.Rating
