Most electric fly trap uv tubes are replaced at the beginning of the insect season. However it is recommended that their output be monitored continually to ensure that it is adequate between scheduled tube replacement.

Not all manufacturers' tubes maintain adequate performance throughout the year and therefore their efficacy cannot be guaranteed to be at optimum levels all year around.

The instant and clear readout enables business proprietors, service technicians, installers and food officers, who need to check whether a fly trap is operating at optimum performance, to record output using the simple 1-10 scale.
