Computer-based induction training and testing for all staff within a food business. Includes interactive narration, video, animation, photography, exercises and simulations.

The seven short modules cover the essential rules of food hygiene that must be followed by anyone who works with or near food. On successful completion of the course, the system produces a personalised certificate detailing the training received.

The course covers:

Preparation & cooking
General food safety

System Requirements:

Multimedia PC with a 75-MHz Pentium or higher processor Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or NT4 16MB of RAM 20MB of available hard disk space 8x speed or faster CD-ROM drive VGA display with 16k colour support soundcard and speakers Printer.

The price of the disk is dependent upon the number of staff who will use the course.

Food Safety Foundation is an award winning computer-based, food safety training system. It is described by the Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH) as having "outstanding quality and merit as a self-study training package for the Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene." The programme won the IFCA International Gold Award. The 15 training modules cover the complete Foundation course syllabus. On successful completion of the programme a personalised certificate can be printed off. A personalised Highfield Certificate can be purchased.
